Job purpose: The Telecoms Preparedness & Capacity Development Consultant will support the Logistics and Telecommunications Cluster (LTC) in strengthening emergency telecommunications preparedness and capacity building. This role involves designing, delivering, and overseeing initiatives focused on response readiness and developing the LTC Telecoms service offer for local responders, humanitarian communities, and governments. The consultant will update technical tools and guidance materials, develop position papers on emerging technologies, and lead the rollout of preparedness and capacity building initiatives for country operations and partners.
A key responsibility includes developing training packages for telecoms in fragile contexts and steering learning management system development, ensuring operational realities and technical standards are integrated into all activities.
