Psychiatrist Consultant – 0.2 FTE (1 day/week)

This role requires ongoing clinical involvement and is not structured as a one-time consultation service.
Women’s Health in Women’s Hands Community Health Centre provides primary healthcare to racialized women from the African, Black, Caribbean, Latin American and South Asian communities in Toronto and surrounding municipalities. We are committed to working from an inclusive feminist, pro-choice, anti-racist, anti-oppression, and multilingual participatory framework.
Responsibilities
Provides psychiatric care within a multi-disciplinary team, on or off site by:
• Interviewing, assessing, and diagnosing clients with a broad range of mental health conditions
• Providing ongoing psychiatric care, supporting clients through diagnosis, treatment, stabilization, and periods of destabilization
• Assessing and managing complex mental health presentations, including psychotic disorders
• Providing timely psychiatric support within crisis pathways
