ph3Terra Innovatum Radiation Protection Specialist will be: /h3ulliResponsible for ensuring the safety of personnel, the public, and the environment by monitoring and controlling radiation exposure in nuclear power plants, research facilities, and other nuclear-related environments. /liliImplementing radiation protection programs, conducting safety assessments, and ensuring compliance with federal and industry regulations. /liliWorking closely with health physicists, engineers, and regulatory agencies to minimize radiation risks and maintain safe operations. /li /ulh3Potential Next Steps /h3pAs the company is expanding rapidly and planning international growth in ****, the right candidate may be considered for regional and/or global responsibilities. /ph3Your Responsibilities Will Include: /h3ulliDeveloping, implementing, and overseeing radiation protection programs in compliance with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission), EPA, and OSHA regulations. /liliMonitoring radiation levels in nuclear facilities using dosimetry, survey meters, and remote sensing equipment. /liliConducting radiation exposure assessments and ensuring worker safety through ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles. /liliEstablishing and maintaining contamination control measures, including decontamination procedures and protective equipment protocols. /liliProviding training and guidance to plant personnel on radiation safety, emergency response, and proper handling of radioactive materials. /liliAssisting in regulatory inspections, audits, and reporting requirements related to radiation protection. /liliDeveloping shielding calculations and assessing the effectiveness of radiation barriers.



/liliEvaluating radioactive waste management procedures to ensure compliance with disposal regulations. /liliInvestigating radiation incidents, performing dose reconstructions, and recommending corrective actions. /liliMaintaining records of radiation exposure, contamination surveys, and safety compliance reports. /li /ulh3Who We Want to Work With: /h3ullibEducation: /b Master's degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. /lilibExperience: /b 3-7 years in radiation protection, nuclear plant operations, or health physics (entry-level positions may require internships or co-op experience). /lilibCertifications (Preferred): /b CHP (Certified Health Physicist), NRRPT (National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists), or equivalent industry credentials. /lilibUnderstanding: /b Strong comprehension of radiation physics, dosimetry, and contamination control. /lilibProficiency: /b In using radiation detection instruments (e.g., Geiger counters, scintillation detectors, ion chambers). /lilibKnowledge: /b Of NRC, EPA, and ANSI standards for radiation protection. /lilibFamiliarity: /b With radiation shielding design, ALARA principles, and regulatory compliance. /lilibExperience: /b With radiation safety software and modeling tools is a plus. /lilibStrengths: /b Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. /lilibSkills: /b Effective communication and training skills for educating personnel on radiation safety. /lilibAttention to Detail: /b High attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance. /li /ulh3Preferred: /h3ulliIPO experience. /liliWritten and oral fluency in Italian. /liliAbility to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization. /li /ul /p #J-*****-Ljbffr
