/p /br /brh3Job Description /h3 /brpHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Junior Electrical Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks within our Rolling Stock Engineering Department.
The position is based in Pistoia or Napoli - IT.
/p /br /brh3Accountabilities /h3 /brul /brliPrepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for electrical components /li /brliAnalyze and assess technical documentation from Suppliers /li /brliPrepare and verify electrical system installation/integration drawings/specifications (including material selection, electromagnetic/thermal analysis, etc.) /li /brliPerform simulations to optimize electrical systems performance and energy efficiency /li /brliConduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned work package, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers /li /brliAttend at system stand-alone type test and review of type test reports /li /brliSupport manufacturing,



testing and validation phases /li /brliReview design documentation with customers and suppliers /li /brliPrepare electrical schematics, collaborating with mechanical design teams to ensure seamless electromechanical integration /li /brliPrepare the Bill of Materials (BoM) of electrical schematics /li /brliEnsure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards and project constraints (time, cost, quality) /li /brliPrepare the documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase /li /br /ul /br /brh3Required Skills/ Knowledge /h3 /brul /brliBasic knowledge of electrotechnics and electronics disciplines /li /brliBasic knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies /li /brliBasic knowledge of electrical CAD tools (E3 preferred) /li /brliBasic knowledge of electrical components (relays, circuit brakers, cables, connectors, etc.) /li /brliBasic knowledge of electrical schematics design /li /brliBasic knowledge of electrical machine design principles /li /brliBasic knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., Ansys Maxwell, Motor-CAD).
/li /brliBasic knowledge of thermal and electromagnetic analysis /li /brliGood knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) /li /brliAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environment /li /brliGood organizational skills, alongside team-working,



problem-solving and results-driven mindset /li /brliAbility to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners, customers) /li /brliAbility to work within project teams under minimal supervision /li /brliAvailability for occasional short-term national and international business trips /li /br /ul /br /brh3Desired Skills/ Knowledge /h3 /brul /brliMinimum experience (1-2 years) in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environments /li /brliBasic knowledge of main railway regulations and standards /li /brliBasic knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool /li /brliBasic knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations /li /brliFamiliarity with traction systems and power converters /li /brliBasic knowledge of RAMS principles and processes /li /brliFast learner with strong willingness to stay up to date with technological developments /li /brliGood business acumen combined with solid technical skills /li /brliGood communication and interpersonal skills /li /br /ul /br /brh3Education/Qualifications /h3 /brpMaster's Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics disciplines preferred).
