Maintenance Manager
Leadership and coordination of industrial maintenance activities across manufacturing operations.
Role Summary
The Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance function, ensuring the reliability, availability and safe operation of production equipment and utilities. The role coordinates preventive, predictive and corrective activities to minimise downtime and support production targets.
Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Health and Safety, Procurement and external service providers, the Maintenance Manager develops standards, monitors performance and drives continuous improvement through data and effective use of the CMMS.
Main Responsibilities
-Lead and coordinate the maintenance team, assigning activities and setting operational priorities according to production needs.
-Develop and manage preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance plans for production equipment and plant systems.
-Ensure the reliability and availability of mechanical, electrical and industrial automation systems.
-Coordinate the response to breakdowns and technical emergencies, ensuring timely troubleshooting and restoration of equipment.
-Manage maintenance activities, work orders, equipment history and planning through the CMMS.
-Define, monitor and report maintenance KPIs, including equipment availability, planned versus unplanned maintenance, backlog and recurring failures.
-Lead Root Cause Analysis and FMEA activities for significant or recurring equipment failures and ensure corrective actions are completed.
-Promote TPM, Lean Manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives to increase equipment performance and maintenance efficiency.
-Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Quality, Health and Safety and Procurement to plan interventions and resolve technical issues.
-Coordinate external contractors, technical suppliers and service providers, monitoring the quality, timing and safety of their work.
