Duties and responsibilitiesThis role has responsibility for driving product and process improvements resulting in lower product failures and associated costs and increased customer satisfaction in terms of quality perception.
Responsibilities:
- Develops procedures for product/process/component/or material measurement and assessment, particularly in preparation for new product, ensuring that quality processes are in place and meet customer requirements.
- Makes decisions on acceptability of product/process/component/or materials by tracking and measuring conformance to standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Performs involved statistical analysis of product/process/component/or materials performance measurement, control, and improvement.
- Initiates corrective action as appropriate and ensures timely closure.
- Ensures that appropriate testing and procedures are in place as well as specifying test equipment required to accurately measure quality of product/process/component/or materials.
- Conducts audits to verify production processes and control plan adheren
