Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self‐motivated Senior Train System Engineer who thrives in a fast‐paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks in Engineering Department. Preparation of the vehicle test specifications
Support for performance and functional tests of the vehicle
Experience of at least 5 years in the railway industry with the role of Train Systems Engineer
Preferred past experience in Main Line / High Speed Rolling Stocks
Knowledge of the main regulations relating to on-board systems in the railway business




Knowledge of the main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
Knowledge of the electrotechnical, electronic, system engineering processes and the main regulations in the railway field is required, in order to manage, throughout the life cycle of the product and with an interdisciplinary approach, the design activities, development and functional integration of the subsystems of railway vehicle platforms, with particular reference to the topics of architecture, functions and vehicle performance, from the design phase to the final validation phase and analysis of feedback from the field.
Recommended knowledge of electrical/mechanical design software (Autocad, Creo, Catia, etc.)
Knowledge of the IBM DOORS requirements management tool
Knowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations.
Readiness to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‐paced, multitasking international environment.
