h3Job Description Summary /h3 /brpAs an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Your responsibilities will involve conducting risk assessments, training employees, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment. /p /brh3Essential Responsibilities /h3 /brul /brliSupport the implementation and maintenance of existing EHS programs and policies, ensuring alignment with applicable local, regional, and national regulations and internal procedures. /li /brliPerform routine safety inspections, safety walks, and area audits using defined standards and checklists; identify and elevate non-conformities and improvement opportunities. /li /brliAssist with risk assessments (e.g., shopfloor walkdowns, hazard identification, documentation updates) under guidance from senior EHS leader, and track corrective and preventive actions to closure. /li /brliDeliver basic EHS training and refresher sessions (toolbox talks, onboarding safety briefings) using approved materials; ensure attendance, understanding, and training records are properly maintained. /li /brliSupport incident, accident, and near‑miss investigations by collecting initial information, interviewing involved personnel as appropriate, and compiling evidence; contribute to action plans and elevate issues when required. /li /brliPartner with supervisors and employees to reinforce safe behaviors and comply with EHS standards, promoting a culture of Safety and continuous improvement within the assigned area. /li /brliMaintain and update EHS records and reporting (audits, incidents, training, inspections, action logs), ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data. /li /brliMonitor basic EHS performance indicators (e.g., observations, near‑miss reporting, action closure, audit results) and prepare periodic summaries for EHS leadership/management, highlighting trends and risks. /li /brliStay informed on relevant internal procedures and regulatory requirements affecting the area; communicate updates to stakeholders and seek support/clarification when needed.
/li /brliParticipate in emergency preparedness activities and drills, supporting planning, communication to the shopfloor, and capture of lessons learned. /li /brliSupport sustainability and environmental stewardship initiatives (data collection, operational checks, shopfloor engagement) in line with site priorities and established plans. /li /br /ul /brh3Required Qualifications /h3 /brul /brliMaster's Degree Engineering – Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field /li /brliPrevious experience in an EHS role /li /brliKnowledge of Italian EHS regulation (D.lgs. 81/2008 and D.lgs 152/2006) and EHS international standards (ISO14001 and ISO45001) /li /brliProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP /li /brliStrong oral and written communication skills /li /brliAbility to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks /li /brliFluent Italian and good English knowledge /li /brliWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required /li /br /ul /brh3Desired Qualifications /h3 /brul /brliAbility to document, plan, market, and execute programs /li /brliStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills /li /brliExcellent communication and interpersonal skills /li /brliAbility to work independently and as part of a team /li /br /ul /brh3Why Join Us /h3 /brpAt Avio Aero, people power our progress.
