And that’s where you come in. /ph3Job Description /h3pHitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Materials Management Technician who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable performing a wide range of tasks, from administration to strategy. /ppThe position is based in Milan, Italy. /ph3Accountabilities /h3ulliEnsure the issuance of an estimate of total external costs for highly complex tenders. /liliPlan and forecast external costs (materials, services, packages, subcontractors) during the project execution phase in collaboration with the cost control office. /liliProvide all supply chain inputs necessary to define and issue the integrated project plan. /liliIssue and distribute planning and logistics documents (Logistics Plan, MPS, Inventory Report, etc.) to project teams. /liliCoordinate all planning and logistics activities between legal entities involved in the project to ensure delivery of project materials (including spare parts and repair of failed materials) in line with project requirements. /liliManage production launch activities (transfer orders, purchase orders, advance demand, etc.) in line with project planning. /liliIssue purchase requests for all materials, external services, packages, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
/liliEnsure issuance of supplier logistics and supply planning documentation in line with contractual requirements (Performance Guarantee, Transport Plan, Procurement Plan, Manufacturing Plan, etc.). /liliMonitor and report supplier performance (including logistics suppliers) in terms of production, FAT, delivery times, shipping, warehouse management, and compliance with contractual requirements. /liliIdentify and implement mitigation actions in case of risks or misalignments with supplier performance (e.g. delays in FAT or deliveries). /li /ulh3Desired Skills / Knowledge /h3ulliMinimum experience in Supply Chain /liliProject management /liliSupplier management /liliPurchasing and planning methods /liliVendor rating and supplier monitoring /liliTechnical and technological knowledge /liliRisk management /liliContinuous improvement /liliDocumentation management, MPS-MRP techniques /liliCost control and budgeting basics /liliLogistics and warehouse management /liliKnowledge of organisation and business processes /li /ulh3Education / Qualifications /h3pDegree in Management Engineering (or equivalent) /ppLanguages (optional) /pulliEnglish language proficiency: minimum B2 level /li /ulpAt Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.
