DescriptionCIMA Aviation is seeking skilled and motivated technician with a hunger for knowledge and a passion for aviation repair to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for working with their hands, utilizing various tools, materials, and specialized testing equipment to test and repair aircraft components in accordance with OEM and/or customer specifications.The technician's responsibilities include testing, troubleshooting, disassembling, and assembling aircraft components. This position requires knowledge of our procedures as they pertain to processes and documentation. On-the-job training and oversight are provided by CIMA management.Primary ResponsibilitiesTest, troubleshoot, tear down, and repair aircraft components in accordance with company-provided data (manuals, drawings, procedures, etc.) and company-provided training.Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area.Correctly, concisely, and legibly complete all company forms and reports as required by management, both written and online.Work with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management.Work with management to develop new processes and procedures as necessary.Assist with basic shop upkeep and maintenance, including routine cleaning of the work area and periodic shop maintenance assignments.Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external representatives, including management, customer representatives, FAA inspectors, airline inspectors, and similar (training provided).Demonstrate commitment to company values and ethics.RequirementsExperience and SkillsMinimum 2 years of similar or related work experience; relevant experience in aviation, automotive, marine, electronics,



or low-voltage electric repair will be considered.Must own a set of basic hand tools.Moderate level of experience and proficiency with general electrical and/or circuit board-level soldering.Ability to follow instructions and work to a written procedure concisely and accurately.Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.Ability to read and thoroughly understand technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and instructions; a pre-employment technical skills and comprehension test may be required.Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized.Basic computer experience.Punctual and reliable.Valid driver's license.Electrical or mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience; machinist experience a plus.EducationHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher in a related technical field preferred.A&P license/certificate not required, but a plus.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50 lbs.Constant hand manipulation of small to medium componentsSitting or standing for long periods of timeFrequent use of hand tools and other repair equipmentUse of chemicals for cleaning, lubricating, and paintingCompensation & BenefitsHourly position commensurate with experience level, skill level, and/or certificationsWe offer medical, dental, vision, life, and other insurance options401(k) with 100% match on first 4%Full-time workers receive paid holidays, vacation, and sick/personal leave accrued on hire dateAdditional InformationThis position is safety-sensitive and requires participation in the FAA DOT Drug Abatement Program.
