This role is highly hands-on and requires someone who can operate at both the barchitecture/design level and the implementation level /b. /p pThe ideal candidate has extensive experience with enterprise routing and switching, SD-WAN, wireless, data center connectivity, campus networks, and network architecture. This individual should be comfortable taking ownership of a network deployment from binitial design and cabling requirements through implementation, troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing support /b. /p pbTravel is required /b for office, campus, data center, and infrastructure deployment projects. /p h3What kind of work will you be doing? /h3 h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign, architect, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across offices, campuses, and data center environments. /li liLead network deployments for new offices, buildings, and campus locations from the ground up. /li liDevelop network architecture, topology, IP addressing, routing, switching, wireless, security, and connectivity designs. /li liConfigure, deploy, and troubleshoot bCisco routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, and SD-WAN solutions /b. /li liDesign and manage complex routing environments using bBGP, OSPF, and EIGRP /b, with particular emphasis on BGP. /li liDevelop and implement resilient network architectures with appropriate redundancy, high availability, and failover. /li liWork with data center and colocation providers, including bEquinix /b, to establish and manage connectivity. /li liConfigure and manage bEquinix Fabric connections /b and related network connectivity. /li liEvaluate and validate physical network infrastructure, including structured cabling, fiber, copper, patch panels, racks, and network demarcation points. /li liProvide technical leadership during network moves, office openings, infrastructure upgrades, and network refresh projects. /li liTroubleshoot complex network issues across Layer 1–Layer 3 and beyond, including routing, switching, wireless, WAN, SD-WAN, and connectivity issues. /li liUse packet-analysis and troubleshooting tools such as bWireshark /b to identify and resolve complex network problems. /li liDevelop detailed network topology diagrams, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and operational documentation. /li liEstablish and document network standards, procedures, and processes. /li liParticipate in network monitoring, performance analysis, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization. /li liCollaborate with security, systems, cloud, facilities,



and other technology teams on infrastructure projects. /li liParticipate in after-hours maintenance windows and provide escalation support when required. /li /ul h3What will make you successful? /h3 h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul li10+ years' enterprise networking experience in a bSenior Network Engineer or Network Architect /b capacity. /li liStrong hands-on experience with bCisco networking equipment /b, including routers and switches. /li liExtensive knowledge of dynamic routing protocols, particularly: ul libBGP /b /li libOSPF /b /li libEIGRP /b /li /ul /li liStrong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and other core networking technologies. /li liProven experience designing and implementing benterprise network architectures /b. /li liHands-on experience with bSD-WAN /b technologies. /li liHands-on experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting benterprise Wi-Fi/wireless networks /b. /li liExperience designing and implementing networks for bnew offices, buildings, and campus environments from the ground up /b. /li liExtensive knowledge of structured cabling, including bfiber and copper /b, cable standards, patching, terminations, rack layouts, and physical network infrastructure. /li liExperience working with bEquinix /b and establishing/managing bEquinix Fabric /b connections. /li liExcellent network troubleshooting and analytical skills. /li liStrong experience using bWireshark /b and other network diagnostic tools. /li liAbility to create clear and accurate bnetwork topology and architecture diagrams /b. /li liStrong technical documentation and communication skills. /li liWillingness and ability to btravel as required /b. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience with bPalo Alto firewalls /b and enterprise security architectures. /li liExperience with bGrafana, SolarWinds /b, or other network monitoring and observability platforms. /li liExperience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code concepts. /li liProgramming or scripting experience, particularly bPython /b, is a plus. /li liExperience developing network automation scripts and tools. /li liExperience integrating monitoring, alerting, and automation platforms. /li liExperience with data center networking and interconnects. /li liExperience with cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure. /li liRelevant Cisco certifications such as bCCNP or CCIE /b are highly desirable. /li /ul h3Technical Skills /h3 pThe successful candidate should be comfortable working across multiple areas of enterprise infrastructure, including: /p ul libRouting Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, Layer 2/Layer 3, WAN /b /li libNetwork Infrastructure: Cisco routers/switches, SD-WAN, enterprise Wi-Fi, campus networks, data center networking /b /li libConnectivity: Equinix, Equinix Fabric, Internet/WAN circuits, data center interconnects /b /li libSecurity: Palo Alto firewalls, network segmentation,



firewall routing and connectivity /b /li libPhysical Infrastructure: Fiber and copper cabling, structured cabling, patch panels, racks, demarcation, physical network design /b /li libMonitoring Automation: SolarWinds, Grafana, network monitoring/observability, Python/scripting, network automation /b /li libTroubleshooting Documentation: Wireshark, packet analysis, performance troubleshooting, network topology/architecture diagrams, technical documentation /b /li /ul pWe are looking for someone who can bown a network project from beginning to end /b. This is not simply a configuration or support role. /p pThe ideal engineer can walk into a new building, assess the physical infrastructure and cabling, determine network requirements, develop the architecture, design the topology, coordinate circuits and connectivity, configure the Cisco infrastructure, establish SD-WAN and wireless, troubleshoot issues during deployment, and produce the documentation required to operate the environment afterward. /p pYou should be equally comfortable bdesigning the architecture on a whiteboard, configuring a Cisco switch, tracing a fiber connection, analyzing a Wireshark capture, troubleshooting BGP, and documenting the final topology /b. /p pThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities. /p h3OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: /h3 pSafety. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits.
