As our Software Engineer (Aerodynamics), you will play a key role in supporting the aerodynamic performance of the TGR Haas F1 Team through the development of bespoke software solutions.

Reporting to the Aerodynamics Software Team Leader, you will work closely with aerodynamicists and engineers to design, develop, and maintain software tools that support all aspects of the Aerodynamics Department. From full-stack application development to workflow automation and system optimisation, this role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to Formula 1 performance in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Software Development & Delivery

- Design, develop, and deploy software solutions that support aerodynamic development activities
- Build and maintain tools across the full technology stack
- Optimise software for performance, reliability, maintainability, and observability
- Evaluate software solutions against defined objectives and requirements

Requirements & Project Delivery

- Work closely with Aerodynamics Department personnel to understand user requirements
- Define project scope, development plans, and delivery timelines
- Independently solve technical challenges and communicate outcomes effectively
- Support the successful delivery of software development projects from concept through deployment

Automation & Continuous Improvement

- Develop workflow automation tools to improve efficiency and productivity
- Improve software quality through testing, code reviews, and best-practice development processes
- Increase unit test coverage and address software reliability issues
- Promote modern software engineering standards and practices throughout the development lifecycle

Collaboration & Innovation

- Collaborate with engineers, aerodynamicists, and technical stakeholders across the department




- Support continuous improvement of aerodynamic software systems and workflows
- Contribute ideas and innovative approaches to improve development processes and tooling
- Help deliver solutions that enhance aerodynamic understanding and car performance

What You'll Bring

Essential

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a professional software development environment
- Strong understanding of software development project planning and execution
- Experience with system design and software architecture principles
- Object-oriented programming experience, preferably using C#/.NET
- Experience developing web applications, preferably using React and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Exposure to Agile and iterative software development methodologies
- Knowledge of SQL, MongoDB, Redis, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and strong English language proficiency

Desirable

- Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Experience within Formula 1 or motorsport
- Knowledge of data science and machine learning techniques
- Experience developing engineering or scientific software applications
