Who we are looking for:
As a Senior Industrialization and Technical Office Engineer , you will play a key role within Caracol’s Technical Office, supporting the industrialization, technical definition and validation of our systems.
You will be responsible for translating engineering solutions into robust, manufacturable and compliant technical configurations, working across mechanical, electrical, software, testing and production teams. Your scope will cover the development of 2D and 3D technical documentation, component and supplier selection,
machine compliance and technical files, risk assessment, testing and continuous improvement of industrialization processes.
Few examples of responsibilities:
- Drive the industrialization of Caracol systems , translating engineering designs into manufacturable, repeatable and scalable technical solutions.
- Develop and review 2D drawings, 3D models, layouts and technical specifications , ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate the preparation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly instructions and technical documentation required for production, testing, installation and service activities.
- Manage the technical documentation required for machine compliance and CE marking , including technical files, risk assessments, user and maintenance manuals, component declarations and applicable safety documentation.
- Plan and support testing and validation activities , identifying technical issues, coordinating corrective actions and ensuring solutions meet functional, quality and safety requirements. to ensure documentation reflects the latest system configuration.
- Support the selection and technical qualification of components and suppliers , evaluating performance, compatibility, manufacturability, availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of industrialization standards,
documentation practices and Technical Office workflows , with a focus on efficiency, quality and traceability.
Ideal Background :
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics , or a related technical field.
- Up to 7 years of experience in product industrialization, manufacturing engineering and technical office activities
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D technical drawings , with solid knowledge of drawing standards, tolerances, BOMs and technical documentation.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes, materials and component selection , with a focus on manufacturability, reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Knowledge of machinery safety requirements and CE marking processes , including technical files, risk assessments and applicable standards.
- Experience in testing, validation and troubleshooting , with the ability to identify technical issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Familiarity with industrial automation, electromechanical systems and supplier interaction
- Strong problem-solving, communication and coordination skills , with the ability to work cross-functionally and provide guidance to more junior colleagues.
