We are searching for a Green Energies Project Manager involves developing and managing projects for the installation of wind resource measurement equipment (and, to a lesser extent, solar measurement equipment) for wind and solar farms in Italy. The PM will report to Green Energies Area Production Manager based in Spain, will have no direct reports and will be part of the Green Energies Department which is responsible for managing meteorological measurement campaigns for wind and solar energy projects, wind resource assessment studies, and related services.

Key responsibilities will include

- managing the installation, dismantling and maintenance of measurement equipment;
- carrying out fieldwork related to the installation, operation, maintenance and dismantling of measurement systems;
- monitoring, both remotely and in person, the status of documentation submitted by clients or DEKRA to the Italian authorities in order to obtain the required installation permits;
- managing and coordinating local subcontractors;
- coordinating activities with clients, local authorities and other relevant stakeholders;
- ensuring that field activities are carried out in accordance with applicable safety and technical requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing meteorological measurement projects using meteorological masts (met masts), LIDAR and SODAR systems for wind and solar resource assessment.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Education

- Environmental Sciences Degree

Experience

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, field-based work, or other energy-related installation activities
- Experience working on wind and/or solar farms is desirable
- Full availability to travel: occasionally to Spain may be required for training purposes, as well as to ther European countries in the region

Technical Knowledge

- Specific knowledge of wind resource measurement technologies, including:

-Meteorological measurement towers (met masts) -LIDAR

-SODAR

- Knowledge of the following IEC standards is desirable but not mandatory:

-IEC 61400-12-1: Power performance measurements of wind turbines -IEC 61400-12-5: Site assessment for the area under test

-IEC 61400-12-3: Measurement of wind turbine power performance at a specific site

-IEC 61400-50-1: Wind measurement using meteorological masts

-IEC 61400-50-2: Wind measurement using remote sensing devices (RSD), including LIDAR and SODAR.

- Knowledge of MEASNET standards and guidelines is desirable but not mandatory, particularly in relation to wind turbine power performance measurements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Engineering degree
- Master's degree in Renewable Energies or Master's degree in Meteorology
- Valid Category B driving licence
- H&S; training is desirable, including: occupational health and safety training, Electrical safety, Working at height / wind industry training (GWO), Fire safety, First aid
- Other training or certifications required to access and work on wind and solar farms
- Knowledge of the Spanish language
