We are conducting a confidential search for a Supply Chain & Operations Excellence Director to lead operational transformation for a manufacturing organisation based in Bologna, working hybrid. Emilia-Romagna's packaging and automation machinery cluster makes this an ideal base for a leader who can drive lean operations and supply chain digitalisation across a multi-plant network.

In this role, you will lead the operations excellence roadmap across manufacturing, supply chain planning, and supplier quality, and own the S&OP; process connecting demand signals to production and procurement decisions. You will drive Industry 4.0 adoption across the plant network, including MES rollout, predictive maintenance, and production data analytics, and lead network optimisation initiatives to improve cost-to-serve and lead times across European and export markets.

You will build and lead a team of operations excellence managers and continuous improvement engineers, standardise lean methodology (5S, Kaizen, TPM) across plants,



and partner with plant directors on capacity planning and capital investment cases. You will also lead supplier development and quality programmes for a network of specialist component suppliers.

Nice to Have:
• Experience in packaging, automation, or industrial machinery manufacturing
• Background leading Industry 4.0 or MES implementation across multiple plants
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Master certification
• Experience with S&OP; and demand-driven planning methodologies
• Track record of quantified cost-to-serve or OEE improvement
