This is an urgent requirement for a highly skilled engineering professional with a strong background in pharmaceutical process design and project execution.The successful candidate will play a key role in the engineering and design phases of the project, providing technical expertise and ensuring process solutions meet operational, regulatory, and quality requirements.This is initially a 9-month contract with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position.Key ResponsibilitiesLead process engineering and design activities across project phasesDevelop and review process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, process calculations, and technical specificationsSupport conceptual, basic, and detailed design activitiesCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, and stakeholdersEnsure designs comply with GMP requirements and pharmaceutical industry standardsConduct process evaluations, risk assessments,



and engineering reviewsSupport equipment selection, sizing, and process optimisation activitiesProvide technical input during project meetings and design reviewsAssist with commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities where requiredRequirementsDegree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related disciplineMinimum 8 years' process engineering experience within the pharmaceutical industryStrong design engineering background with proven project delivery experienceExperience working within regulated GMP environmentsKnowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and facilitiesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work on-site or in a hybrid capacity in Lombardy, ItalyIdeal Candidate ProfileAn experienced Senior Process Engineer with 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, ideally gained across major capital projects and engineering design programmes.
