/pp-- /ph3Your contribution to Prysmian's Success: /h3pWe are looking for a bright engineer to join our Italy RD DesignCost team, as an Energy Cable Designer; the resource will be based in Merlino (LO) and will be part of the RD team supporting Italian-based factories.
The responsibilities of the team are: /pullito provide all technical support to Sales department to enable an adequate offer to all customer enquiries /lilito ensure correct definition of product costing, considering designs, bill of materials and routing /lilito fully understand the applications and customer needs /lilito cooperate with Product Development and Material teams to develop new products in line with company strategies /lilito represent the Company in National technical committees, actively contributing to the product standards evolution /li /ulpSuccessful candidates are curious, eager to learn about cable making industry - through proper training and coaching on the job by senior colleagues and direct manager; he/she has a very positive and proactive approach, resilience to face challenging situations/targets and ability to cooperate with different functions inside the organization.
/ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliUsing specific software (Common Analysis or SAP): /lilidesign electrical cables in each detail, type of materials and performances according to the customer request and applicable technical standards /liligenerate the related Bill of Material and manufacturing Routing of the cables /lilimake and update Cost Lists for stock items to be used by Sales department /lilimake and update Project rules of different cable families /lilitake in charge Customer Offers by reading the technical specifications, giving the correct selection of cables and creating a full technical data pack (datasheet, technical bid evaluation sheets, deviations) for Sales Dept /lilicollaborate with Product development team (e.g. create prototypes designs)
/lilievaluate and support manufacturing product transfer from one plant to another /liliundefined /liliSupport commercial and quality department in technical bid evaluation phases /liliInterface with factory to implement their specific needs/changes in process /liliMake base electrical calculations related to the main characteristics of the cables (e.g. ampacity, capacitance) /liliVisit customers to understand application and market needs, giving support to Sales dept /li /ulh3You are the right fit if you have/are: /h3ulliPreferably master's degree in Electrical, Electrotechnical or Electronic Engineering /liliPrevious experience (1-2 years) in industrial business, with preferred experience as electrical design, process engineer, production engineer, continuous improvement or product development /liliBasic knowledge of production processes and of the main polymeric and metallic materials used /liliStructured, solid, and trustable person, with abilities of being analytical as well as synthetical, methodical and conscious planner.
Fan of teamwork approach /liliGood communications skills /liliAbility to work independently, within complex matrix organizations, and to handle pressure at times /liliPrevious knowledge of cable-making industry would be considered as a plus /liliFluent in both Italian and English, spoken and written /li /ulh3What we offer /h3ulliType of contract: Permanent Full Time /liliLocation: Merlino /liliApplicable Collective Agreement: CCNL Gomma, Plastica, Cavi elettrici e affini.
