**Job Description:** *Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners of the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme), along with the British BAE Systems and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, aimed at the development and realization of a new generation air system, defined as a “system of systems”. Employed for multi-domain operations in the defense sector, the system will feature a “core platform” connected with other peripheral “adjunct” systems, both piloted and unpiloted. Resources working within this program will have the opportunity to access a professional growth path in an international and technologically advanced context.* *Within the Cyber & Security Solution Area, we are looking for a* **Networking & Communication Engineer** *for our offices in Genoa, Rome, and Naples.* *The person will be responsible for the following activities:* * *Design, implementation, management, and optimization of systems and services primarily based on Cloud and on-premise infrastructures (Cloud Service Provider Azure, Cisco Network, Firewall and WAF Solutions);* * *Support in designing complex architectures to meet customer requirements with particular attention to security aspects (Integrity, availability, and confidentiality), effectiveness, and efficiency of the designed solutions.* * *Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of on-prem environments, collaborating with architects, software developers,
system administrators, and security engineers.* **Educational Qualification**: *Degree in Engineering/STEM disciplines* **Seniority**: *Junior/Expert 1-5 years of experience* *At least 1 year of experience in Network and Security projects in Cloud environments with excellent knowledge of technologies and attention to security aspects* **Technical Knowledge and Skills:** * *Skills in designing and implementing complex network infrastructures;* * *Skills in designing and implementing network infrastructures in cloud environments (Azure);* * *Skills in infrastructure as code;* * *Experience in using security tools and protocols such as firewalls, WAF, VPN, IPS/IDS, etc.;* * *Knowledge of network protocols, WAN technologies, load balancers, routing, and switching;* * *Ability to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and network problems;* * *Experience in network security management, including aspects such as authentication, authorization, and encryption.* **Behavioral Skills***:* * *Good predisposition to teamwork* * *Effective communication skills* * *Be a reliable and flexible team player* * *Have a creative mindset and ability to analyze problems effectively* **Language Skills:** * *Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English (C1 level)* **Other (e.g., Availability for travel, Specific certifications…):** * *Certifications - possession of any certifications in the following areas is a preferential requirement:* * *Microsoft Certified:* * *Azure Networking Engineer Associate;* * *Azure Security Engineer Associate.* * *Network – Cisco or similar;* * *Security – Fortinet, CheckPoint, F5 or similar;* *Availability to undertake national and international travel on a monthly basis.* **Involvement,
