# Job Description We are protagonists of Defense. Building military units, with increasingly challenging performances, in increasingly complex scenarios, is more demanding than ever. We have been doing it for over 230 years, during which we have delivered over 2,000 units. True jewels of high technology, designed and built for the Italian Navy, numerous foreign Navies and other State Corps. Thanks to the rich heritage of experience and excellence acquired over time, Fincantieri is the reference partner for numerous international contractors to whom we provide the complete ship system and logistics support. We are one of the few operators capable of designing and building a wide and complete product portfolio: from surface combatants to auxiliary and special ships, down to submarines. The resource will be inserted within the “Outfitting” department, in the Functional Design area of Fincantieri's Military Ships Division. # Activities The resource will be responsible for the preliminary study, development with the Company and with the Client of the entire package (including technical support to the purchasing office) relating to the furnishing of living areas, also considering support to the Shipyard during the construction of the ship. The Furniture package is usually managed as a turnkey order and includes, in addition to the furniture, also the electric light/power system and all accessories related to the furniture. The main tools used will be CAD applications, SAP, Word and Excel/Power BI, as well as specific web-based applications, such as Leo Draw by the RINA classification body. Among the main responsibilities are: * Management and approval of furniture layout towards the Client; * Technical management of the Supplier,



from the initial phases of defining the scope of supply/tender up to the delivery of the premises; * Identification of technical solutions and/or resolution of emerging problems from exchanges of information with engineering offices or shipyards; * Development and drafting of technical documentation to define outfitting components; * Proactive site visits in order to identify or verify solutions in view of continuous improvement. There will be possible trips to the Client, the Supplier (also for checking mock-ups and production progress) as well as to the Shipyard/s during construction and acceptance tests of the ship. # Requirements * Previous experience of at least 3 years in Designer roles in a naval or similar industrial context is required; * Degree preferably in Naval Engineering or, alternatively, in Architecture; * Knowledge of 3D CAD software (Bentley Microstation suite preferred); * Knowledge of the main Microsoft application packages; * Familiarity with management software, such as SAP, will be a preferential title; * A good level of knowledge of written and spoken English; * The profile is completed by characteristics such as: ability to relate to the Client, Classification Registers and Suppliers. **Compensation & Vantaggi Package** * For this position, the initial gross annual salary will not be less than € 39,000. * Employee Qualification * Bonuses as per 2nd level supplementary agreement * Supplementary health care * Welfare (benefits and services to promote well-being and work-life balance) * Meal vouchers **Transparency note** The company reserves the right, at the end of the selection process, to formulate an offer with a different level of classification and/or remuneration than indicated in this announcement, consistent with the professional experience, technical and transversal skills possessed by the resource.
