You will work in a multidisciplinary RD environment, combining mechanical design, engineering simulations, prototyping and testing activities. You will also have the opportunity to leverage digital engineering methodologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to accelerate product development, improve engineering efficiency and support technical decision-making. /ppWork Model: #LI-Hybrid /ppIn this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for: /pulliWorking as a reliable contributor in RD projects for the development and evolution of ABB's RCCB platform, supporting projects from concept definition through product validation. /liliDesigning innovative electromechanical solutions for next-generation protection devices, from concept development and 3D CAD modelling to simulation, prototyping, testing and product validation. /liliCreating and maintaining 3D CAD models, assemblies and technical documentation using CATIA V5 and Creo. /liliPerforming engineering studies and simulations to optimize product performance, robustness, reliability and manufacturability. /liliSupporting prototype assembly, laboratory testing and validation activities in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.



/liliApplying digital engineering methodologies and exploring AI-powered tools to improve product development processes and engineering productivity. /liliCollaborating with Mechanical, Electrical, Testing, Manufacturing and Quality teams to deliver innovative and competitive solutions. /liliIdentifying technical risks and supporting project objectives related to quality, cost and timing. /liliStaying up to date with emerging technologies, engineering methods and industry trends.br/ /li /ulh3Qualifications for the role /h3ulliGood knowledge of mechanical design principles and product development processes. /liliMaster's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering qualification. /liliYou are at ease communicating fluently in Italian and English. /liliExperience with 3D CAD design tools; knowledge of CATIA V5 and/or Creo is highly appreciated. /liliBasic knowledge of engineering simulation tools and methods, including structural, thermal or multiphysics analysis. /liliInterest in Artificial Intelligence applications for engineering, simulation and product development. /liliKnowledge of MATLAB is considered a plus. /liliKnowledge of SAP and PLM (Windchill) environments is considered a plus. /liliProficiency in Microsoft Office tools. /li /ulh3Compensation Package /h3pAs part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position: /ppApplicable CBA: Metalmeccanico /ppMinimum annual salary: € 36.000,00 /ppVariable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Premio /ppThe offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications,
