Yes Duties and Responsibilities We have an immediate opening for an Epidemiologist position in Dr. Fares Qeadan’s research team in the Public Health Sciences Department within the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health. We are seeking a highly experienced Epidemiologist proficient in SAS and R to help lead and support our research team. This role involves contributing to high-level research, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and grant applications, while fostering collaboration with a multidisciplinary research team and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in epidemiological methods, a passion for public health research, and experience mentoring junior analysts. /p bKey Responsibilities: /b 1. Epidemiological Study Design Analysis: ulliCollaborate with the PI and research team to design and conduct epidemiological studies. /liliPerform statistical analyses using advanced methodologies to interpret complex public health data. /liliEnsure accurate data management and representation. /li /ul2. NIH Grant Support: ulliAssist in the preparation of grants. /liliAssist in the preparation of progress reports. /li /ul3. Manuscript Preparation Publication: ulliCollaborate on the writing, reviewing, and editing of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. /liliAssist in the preparation of presentations for national and international conferences. /li /ul4. Collaboration Team Support: ulliWork closely with the PI and multidisciplinary team members to achieve research objectives. /liliProvide support and mentorship to junior researchers and graduate students as needed. /li /ul5. Data Management, Analysis Interpretation: ulliManage and lead the analysis of complex datasets, including those from complex survey design data and ecological data, using advanced statistical techniques in SAS and R. /liliOversee data management processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of datasets, enabling high-quality research outputs. /liliIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in large datasets to generate actionable insights for public health research. /li /ulMinimum Education and/or Work Experience PhD required in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics,
or a related field; or a Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field with equivalent relevant work experience. Qualifications ulliExperience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in biostatistics and/or epidemiology. /liliDemonstrable experience in data analysis and interpretation with proficiency in statistical software, especially SAS and R. /liliExperience with electronic health record ( EHR ) data analysis is a plus. /liliStrong communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to follow instructions, complete tasks on time, and handle confidential information. /liliAptitude for manuscript and grant writing. /liliExceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. /liliProven ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and function collaboratively in a diverse team environment. /liliExperience in mentoring junior researchers and students is a plus. /liliProven adaptability, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. /liliProven ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects, and compile comprehensive reports and presentations. /li /ulCertificates/Credentials/Licenses PhD required in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field; or a Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field with equivalent relevant work experience.
