We are looking for for an IT Application Manager who will be accountable to steer the change and evolution on existing applications used by Group Head Office Corporate Functions, which include: Risk Officer, Financial Officer, Communication end Control Functions. Dealing from change concept to realization, the Application Manager is accountable for the success of the implementation. Supports the Customer in transforming their new needs into solutions within the scope of existing applications.
Guarantees the respect of agreed timelines and costs, takes under control risks. Accountable of the compliancy with Company’s guidelines and policies.
Keep the knowledge of existing application portfolio and relative architectures.
IT Application Manager key accountabilities:
- Is accountable for gathering requirements from any Change Initiator, evaluating impacts on existing solutions, associated risks, financial implications, and considerations related to applications developed through both traditional software engineering and AI-assisted coding approaches;
- Maintains deep knowledge of the functional domain, architecture, and technology stack of the applications in charge;
- Executes the change management process according to internal guidelines and Group Policies;
- Collaborates with Production Services to assess the functional, technical, architectural, and operational impacts of changes on existing services and applications, including solutions partially or fully developed using AI coding technologies;
- Collaborates with Production Services to fully support Service Transition activities before any release and during the post go-live phase, ensuring operational readiness;
- In case of Audit, Regulatory, Risk, or Compliance initiatives related to architecture, software engineering practices, or technical solutions, analyzes impacts, performs assessments on the current state, and defines remediation actions while ensuring alignment with Production Services and all relevant stakeholders;
- Manages interactions with vendors, third parties, development partners, infrastructure teams, and AI development service providers; defines and monitors implementation activities, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, budget, quality, security, and compliance standards. For medium and large projects, works alongside Project Managers to coordinate stakeholders and execution plans;
- Provides and governs tools and processes for source code quality, security evaluation, and AI-generated code validation; is accountable for managing technical risks, technical debt, obsolescence, and end-of-life components. Leads VAPT remediation activities, Security and Cybersecurity assessments, and remediation plans, promoting software quality through tools such as Kiuwan and equivalent code analysis and AI-code review platforms;
- Drives the adoption of AI-assisted software development practices, including the usage of tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, AI coding agents, and related technologies, ensuring that all AI-generated artifacts comply with enterprise architecture principles, secure coding standards, software engineering best practices, and regulatory requirements;
- Evaluates opportunities to leverage Generative AI and AI-native development methodologies to accelerate software delivery, improve productivity, increase code quality.
Requirements
- Min 3 years of similar experience in an International context;
- Ability to manage complex stakeholders and cross-functional teams;
- Knowledge of AI Coding technologies and AI-assisted software development;
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation and software delivery practices.

What we offer
We offer employment at the V level with the relevant salary, in accordance with the CCNL ANIA for non-executive employees and the Generali Group Company Agreement.
Gross annual salary ranging between 39K and 53K. The final offer will be aligned with the candidate’s professional experience, technical and soft skills relevant to the role, and may include an individual variable component.
