About the job For one of our clients, a major international EPCI contractor, we are looking for an Offshore Operations Manager to lead the marine installation scope of a deepwater FPSO project in Indonesia (2,000m water depth). Based in their Milan (or Paris) office, you will own the offshore operations strategy from engineering and preparation through to execution, covering suction pile installation, mooring line pre-lay, FPSO mooring hook-up, riser and umbilical hook-up and SWLP installation. You will be the key interface between engineering, vessel owners, T&I; subcontractors and the client's company representatives.

What you will do

- Lead the planning, preparation and execution of all offshore installation operations, from procedures to offshore campaigns
- Oversee the installation of 16 suction piles (approx. 250t, 31m long) in 2,000m water depth from a heavy lift construction vessel, including barge transport and deepwater lowering operations
- Manage the pre-lay of 16 mooring lines (chain / polyester / chain configuration) using MPV or anchor handling vessels
- Direct the FPSO mooring hook-up campaign: line recovery, connection to upper chain segments, tensioning via mooring tensioning systems and station keeping
- Supervise riser and umbilical hook-up operations on board the FPSO (9 risers and umbilicals, sheave handling, riser pull-in system) in coordination with T&I; contractors




- Oversee SWLP installation including hose installation with diving support
- Review and approve installation procedures, vessel selection, marine spreads and contingency plans
- Coordinate with engineering, HSE, vessel operators, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure safe, on-schedule execution
- Mobilise offshore as required during key campaigns

What you bring

- Engineering degree (Naval, Mechanical, Offshore or equivalent)
- 15+ years of experience in offshore construction and marine installation, with at least 5 years in an Operations Manager or Offshore Manager role
- Proven track record on deepwater mooring installation and FPSO hook-up campaigns (pile installation, mooring pre-lay, tensioning, riser pull-in)
- Strong knowledge of construction vessels, anchor handling operations and deepwater lowering techniques
- Experience interfacing with T&I; contractors, vessel owners and major operators
- Leadership, decision-making and strong communication skills in a multicultural environment
- Fluent English; Italian is a plus
