/ph3Key Responsibilities of the Role: /h3ulliAdherence to the project Mercury Engineering Safety Management system /liliAdherence to relevant Environmental, Health Safety statutory provisions legislation /liliAdherence to Mercury Engineering Client Environmental, Health Safety Plans.
/liliAssist with the onboarding of Mercury employees Subcontractors as per Italian Legislation – ensuring all relevant documentation is in place /liliAct as point of contact on site for coordination with local Municipality /liliCoordination in the development of task specific Method statements, Risk assessments, Safe plan of action, Permit to work.
/liliCompliance with the project execution plan.
/liliCoordination of project safety indicators.
/liliGood Safety Practices are managed maintained.
/liliOngoing C.O.S.H.H assessments, control of hazardous substances.




/liliEnsuring that safety interventions are completed registered.
/liliCarry out regular site audits and inspection, document results and follow up on any corrective actions.
/liliMaintain records of statutory inspections are available for project activities, tool and plant.
/liliAdopt a Proactive approach to project EHS requirements.
/liliAbility to work either independently or as part of a team.
/liliProvide Safety input to site management at site EHS forums.
/liliEnsure project sub-contractors adhere to project group EHS policies procedures.
/liliEnsure that Mercury Engineering induction training is coordinated, managed maintained.
/liliProject PPE is resourced available.
/liliCompile carry out Toolbox talks, as necessary /liliAssist or carry out accident investigation reports in a timely manner ensure communication to Mercury Engineering project management.
/liliWelfare Hygiene facilities are in place, managed maintained.
/liliLiaison with site Project Management on environmental, health safety issues.
/liliUp to date documentation is included with the Safety File.
/liliWaste reduction and recycling programmes are maintained in line with project policies procedures.

/li /ulh3Essential Criteria for the Role: /h3ulliRSPP ASPP Trained /liliExperience working in Data Centre Construction /lili7+ years' experience of managing environmental, health and safety on large construction sites.
/lili5+ years managing a team of EHS advisors /liliThorough knowledge of current Italian environmental, health and safety legislation /liliExperience in communicating with the Municipality regarding Italian legislation /liliFlexibility in working patterns where necessary.
/liliAbility to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.
/liliAbility to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
