We are looking for a Data Analyst to join an international and multicultural environment supporting key scientific and policy initiatives within a European institution. The selected professional will play a crucial role in transforming data into meaningful insights, supporting evidence-based decision-making, stakeholder engagement activities, and the communication of complex information to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.

What will you do?

- Collect, clean, validate, and structure data from multiple sources, including spreadsheets, surveys, and structured datasets.
- Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, priorities, and actionable insights that support business, scientific, and policy activities.
- Design and administer surveys and structured data collection exercises, including questionnaire design, response logic, and respondent segmentation.
- Consolidate and analyse survey results, transforming findings into structured and meaningful outputs.
- Organise and categorise datasets and content using metadata, classifications, and data management best practices.
- Ensure data quality through validation rules, consistency checks, and reconciliation against source information.
- Support the publication and management of structured data within web platforms and digital environments.
- Contribute to defining requirements for data presentation, filtering systems, categorisation structures,



and data visualisation solutions.
- Support the development of dashboards, reports, and visualisation tools that communicate key indicators and insights.
- Present analytical findings through charts, infographics, maps, presentations, and other visual communication formats.
- Collaborate closely with scientific and policy stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into structured data-driven solutions.

What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience collecting, cleaning, validating, and structuring data from sources such as spreadsheets, surveys, and structured files.
- Minimum 2 years of experience analysing datasets and identifying trends, patterns, and priorities using tools such as Excel, Python, R, or similar technologies.
- Minimum 2 years of experience presenting analytical results through visualisations and reports aimed at non-technical audiences.
- Good knowledge of data preparation, transformation, and analysis techniques.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other analytical or reporting tools.
- Knowledge of survey design, administration, and survey-response analysis methodologies.
- Understanding of data quality, validation processes,



metadata management, and classification frameworks.
- Experience creating dashboards, reports, visualisations, infographics, maps, and data storytelling assets.
- Ability to translate user needs into structured datasets, surveys, analytical outputs, and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (minimum B2 level).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within international and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of sustainability, environmental policy, or European Union policy contexts will be considered a strong advantage.
