Naples Pay Range: $63,559 - $82,049 based on experience.

Job Summary

Responsible for managing, planning, directing, and coordinating operating budgets for a number of Mini Marts, Branch Stores, satellite locations, or small Main Exchanges.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and manage operating budgets and financial performance. Make periodic and frequent inspections of all assigned stores. Identify and execute actions to correct deficiencies, exploit opportunities, and maximize operational performance. Follow up to ensure that prompt and proper corrective action has been taken.
- Plan and execute retail and/or services programs through subordinate supervisors or managers. Direct all activities of assigned retail store operations, ensuring compliance with all operating procedures.
- Operate the Fresh Food and Food, Beverage & Convenience Bar programs within the assigned stores. Ensure programs are executed to program standard, including meeting sales, profitability & waste targets, stocking, product rotation, ordering, etc.
- Achieve established sales and profit goals. Initiate corrective action as necessary. Implement NEXCOM policies and procedures, coordinate operations with direct supervisors. Ensure that adequate staffing levels are maintained consistent with store expenses and customer service requirements.
- Review demographics of each location and provide input to Headquarters on merchandise assortments based on rate of sale. Implement enterprise SOPs for signing, shelf label management, planograms, phantom inventory, 5S backroom, and any other NEXCOM-directed programs.
- Ensure that all directives, policies, and regulations relative to the management of inventory, cost control,



and loss prevention initiatives are adhered to. Actively work to create an environment intolerant to internal and external theft, paperwork errors, and inventory shrinkage.
- Approve leave and vacations and associate schedules. Enforce enterprise work rules. Ensure that a continuing training program is carried out. Interview and participate in the selection of lead associates/managers, and complete performance appraisals for store supervisors/managers. Review proposed disciplinary actions and resolve grievances and complaints.
- Ensure all stores maintain a robust Premier Customer Service Program. Responsible for CSI, WOMI, NPS, online customer comments, and other NEX customer service performance measures.
- Ensure maximum and full utilization of all facilities & equipment. Ensure that a maintenance and repair program is in effect for all equipment and facilities to keep all assigned retail stores in excellent condition. Ensure, through subordinate supervisors, compliance with safety, security, and fire-prevention policies across all facilities.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute small store refreshes, resets, and minor/major projects. Ensure the development of required projects and timely submittal as part of NEXCOM's minor or major capital plans.
- Carry out EEO policies and communicate support to subordinates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Reporting





Reports to the General Manager or equivalent Senior Management leader who provides broad general direction. Recommendations, comments, and resolutions are reviewed for adherence to established policies and for assurance that objectives are met. Work performance is reviewed and evaluated based on overall results in meeting planned objectives and on improvements in operating district results.

Additional Requirements

The incumbent of this position must file a Financial Disclosure Report (OGE) Form 450, as required.

Experience Requirements

A total of 5 years experience consisting of the following:

General Experience

3 years experience gained in administrative, merchandising, technical, or other responsible work, which enabled the applicant to gain a background in merchandising and store operational practices;

skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships;

and the ability to exercise mature judgment.

Substitution of Education for Experience

1 year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor's degree for 3 years of general experience.

Specialized Experience

2 years of experience provided a background in Services or Retail practices, procedures, and merchandising, such as sales promotion, display of merchandise and services, developing and improving operational plans and controls, maintenance of inventory levels and stock controls, customer service, maintenance of equipment, exempt or non-exempt supervisory experience, and maintaining effective sanitation, security, and safety regulations, or similar work which demonstrated the knowledge and abilities to manage a service area.
