pThis position supports NAVFAC EURAFCENT facilities, construction, and program requirements. The selected candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting U.S. Navy and Department of Defense projects in Europe and will be employed locally through a third-party employer of record. /p h3Position Summary /h3 pThe Functional and Administrative Support Specialist provides day-to-day administrative, records, correspondence, data, and customer-service support to NAVFAC EURAFCENT project and office teams. This is a full-time, primarily on-site position located in Sigonella, Sicily, Italy; Rota, Spain; Souda Bay, Greece; or Naples, Italy. /p h3Job Duties Responsibilities /h3 ul liReceive, review, route, track, and maintain correspondence and administrative actions /li liCreate, classify, cross-reference, archive, and retrieve electronic and hard-copy records in accordance with established procedures /li liPrepare and format letters, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, charts, and other office products /li liMaintain databases, trackers, distribution lists, calendars, and recurring reports /li liProvide reception and customer service support and coordinate visitor or installation access requests /li liTrack suspense items and follow up with staff to support timely completion of required actions /li liAssist with travel orders, vouchers, requisitions, time and attendance, training records, organizational charts, and personnel paperwork /li liResearch administrative issues, compile information, and brief staff on status or recommended actions. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 h3Key Qualifications /h3 ul liMust already have the legal right to work in the country of the assigned duty station; U.S.
visa or SOFA-status sponsorship is not available /li liProfessional fluency in English and in the host-nation language of the assigned duty station /li liDemonstrated administrative support experience, including records management, correspondence, filing, and office procedures /li liAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tables, charts, and reports /li liStrong typing, writing, grammar, proofreading, organization, and attention to detail /li liAbility to work professionally with government personnel, contractors, visitors, and customers in a multinational environment /li liAbility to manage multiple priorities, protect sensitive information, and meet deadlines /li liExperience supporting an engineering, construction, military, or government office is preferred /li liExperience with electronic document management or workflow systems is preferred /li liMust obtain required installation access and complete applicable background screening /li /ul h3Experience Education /h3 ul liProfessional fluency in English and in the host-nation language of the assigned duty station. /li liDemonstrated administrative-support experience, including records management, correspondence, filing, and office procedures.
