# Job Description:

For our Helicopter Division, we are looking for an equipment quality officer.
The Supplier & Incoming Parts Quality team manages non-conformities created by the assembly, flight test, helicopter delivery, and component reception departments within the Vergiate plant. It analyzes and characterizes reported defects in non-conformities, collaborates with suppliers and internal departments to identify the root cause of defects, containment actions, and corrective actions.
The Equipment Quality Officer will be part of the Supplier & Incoming Parts Quality office and will be responsible for managing these quality issues and reported non-conformities specifically on externally supplied components (i.e., purchased from suppliers) for both technical aspects (installation, functional, dimensional, finishing and aesthetic treatments) and documentation.
The Equipment Quality Officer will have the following responsibilities:
* Resolution of non-conformity cases found in Receiving, Final Assembly, Flight Line, and Delivery on supplied parts;
* Sending non-conformity notification to the supplier, analyzing Investigation Reports received in response to non-conformities, verifying and validating root causes, containment actions, and corrective actions proposed for defect resolution;
* Conducting technical investigations on non-conforming components at the supplier and within the plant;
* Identifying any cases of repeated technical/documentary defects for notified parts,
with the aim of requesting structural corrective actions from the supplier;
* Coordinating investigation activities through the involvement of other company departments (production, engineering, technical direction, logistics, etc.);
* Managing and resolving certain types of non-conformities created during component reception;
* Managing material recovery/repair activities carried out by suppliers at the Vergiate plant;
* Analyzing and approving FAI (First Article Inspection);
* Supporting and possibly participating in audits carried out by other company departments for supplier qualification and surveillance;
* Managing Concessions and Production Permits sent by suppliers to the Vergiate plant;
* Defining supply control plans at the supplier;
* Analyzing repair costs associated with Inspection Reports / Workshop Reports;
* Reporting on quality issues and defects found.
## Requirements
**Education:** Aeronautical Expert, Short Degree in Engineering, Master's Degree in Engineering.
**Experience:** Junior/Senior.
**Hard Skills:**
* Excellent knowledge of English and Microsoft Office package;
* Knowledge of production methods used in the aeronautical/mechanical world;
* Ability to read technical documents (drawings, technical bulletins, international specifications);
* Preferred knowledge of processes and associated documentation for managing a production environment (e.g., work cycles);
* Preferred knowledge of quality issues (ISO 9000 standards, 8D methodologies), knowledge of aircraft and aeronautical regulations;
* Willingness to travel for a maximum of 1 week to Italian and foreign suppliers, and for overtime if necessary.
**Soft Skills:**
* Methodical and organized approach, given the role in quality;
* Ability to prioritize activities according to production needs;
* Technical analysis capability, allowing for the formulation of hypotheses on the causes of a technical defect,
and related verification and validation methods for these hypotheses;
* Communication skills with various company departments and suppliers, with appropriate registers and methodologies.

How does the selection process work?
