Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Senior Accountant to manage accounting and financial reporting for European legal entities. The role involves month-end closings, statutory reporting, internal control compliance, and process improvement initiatives within the Finance Service Center based in Buccinasco, Italy.
Responsibilities
Lead month-end closing activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
Prepare financial statements for corporate reporting and yearly local statutory accounts
Ensure financial processes comply with internal control rules and regulations
Support daily bookkeeping in accounts payable, receivables, and treasury functions
Contribute to finance process improvement and automation initiatives




Requirements
Degree in Economics, Taxation, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3 years financial accounting experience with general ledger responsibility
International corporate accounting environment experience preferred
Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken
SAP S/4HANA ERP system experience is a plus
US GAAP and SOX compliance knowledge preferred
Spanish tax regulations familiarity a plus
Compensation:
€40,000–€50,000 gross annual salary plus 5% premio on base salary
