### Job Description:

Within the **Space Division**, we are looking for an **Incoming Metrology Engineer** for our **Campi Bisenzio (FI)** office.

**The person, within the Hardware Quality team, will be responsible for:**

- Drafting testing procedures for mechanical equipment, defining placement/setup schemes for machines, CMM part programs, or instrument usage sequences;
- Defining/evaluating new methods, technologies, and fastening equipment for item testing;
- Defining testing methodologies to maximize control effectiveness, ensure compliance with required standards, minimize lead time, and address anomalies detected during production;
- Becoming the technical focal point for incoming mechanical metrology testers and suppliers;
- Analyzing processes to ensure alignment with standards in mechanical incoming activities;
- Defining control plans for incoming mechanical goods;
- Defining and monitoring daily KPIs;
- Contributing to the definition of non-quality costs generated by NCs and present in the QA matrix;
- Implementing Root Cause Analysis and Kaizen projects, using 8D in collaboration with other departments and suppliers;
- Performing statistical analysis on critical reports,



correlating dimensional measurements with performance reports;
- Participating in concurrent testing engineering, particularly in the implementation of annotated 3D models;
- Defining relayout/investments in the mechanical incoming area and supporting audits by clients and certification bodies;
- Implementing 5S, visual management, and developing department KPIs.

**Education:**

- Three-year and/or Master's degree in STEM (Mechanical, Automation, Aerospace Engineering and/or similar)

**Required experience level:**

- Expert: 3-5 years of experience in the role

**Technical skills:**

- World Class Manufacturing, improvement tools (5S, DMAIC/PDCA cycle, SMED, etc);
- ESD, FOD, UNI EN ISO 9712:2012, AUKOM certification, ECSS preferred;
- Knowledge of production flows, related non-conformity management, and data analysis;
- Ability to draft technical documentation (operating instructions, part programs, etc.).

**Behavioral skills:**

**Language skills:**

- English (min. B2 level)

**IT knowledge:**

- Mandatory knowledge of INSPECT, PCDIMIS programs, preferred knowledge of annotated 3D, Q-DAS, SPC of the Hexagon suite.
- Knowledge of Office suite, Power BI, Autocad, data analytics software, SAP.

**Other:**

- Availability for business trips (20%)

**How does the selection process work?**

Following the collection of applications, CVs that are most in line with the required qualifications are evaluated and identified.
