MECHANICAL ENGINEER – ABOUT THE ROLE
We deliver innovative mechanical engineering solutions for ground and space-based optical applications. We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to plan and execute the mechanical system. The ideal designer must be up to date with state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and technology. With a passion for designing, developing and testing mechanical components, the candidate must thrive in a challenging environment. Experimentation and innovation are the cornerstones of the mechanical design engineer job profile. We’re seeking a team player that can work alongside manufacturing teams, optical, electronic and AIT engineers.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, bill of materials, integration procedure;
• Perform Structural Analysis of mechanical assembly (static and dynamic);
• Partecipate and coordinate technical meetings with customers and suppliers
• Partecipate in structural and thermal tests;
• Prepare high quality documentation (e.g. design and analysis report, integration procedure and test report);
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MECHANICAL ENGINEER
• University degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering (or equivalent);
• 5+ years of Experience in High-Tech companies;
• Strong Knowledge of 3D Cad environment (SolidWorks preferred);
• Strong Knowledge of engineering drawing standards;
• Knowledge of Femap & Nastran (Preferred) or Ansys;
• Good knowledge of the English language both read and spoken;
• Excellent problem solving and proactive attitude;
• Team work player;
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE
• Knowledge of metallic and composite materials manufacturing technology;
• Knowledge of Thermal Analysis;
• Knowledge of opto-mechanics and mechanism;
