Located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, Palermo is a vibrant Argentinian restaurant built around the traditions of cooking over fire. Centred around our open parrilla grill, our menu celebrates premium Australian produce, bold Argentinian flavours and the theatre of flame, all delivered in a lively, fast-paced dining environment.

Who We Are

By joining Palermo, you become part of The San Telmo Group – one of Melbourne’s established independent hospitality groups. Founded in 2011, the Group operates six unique venues across Melbourne and Brisbane: San Telmo, Palermo, Asado, Pastuso, Robata and San Telmo Brisbane.

Position Available

Casual Section Waiter – Restaurant Award Level 2

Monday–Friday: $33.85 per hour
Saturday: $40.62 per hour
Sunday: $40.62 per hour
Public Holidays: $67.70 per hour

We’re looking for someone available to work 30+ hours per week, including evenings, weekends and public holidays where needed

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

- Managing your own section and delivering polished, attentive and knowledgeable service in a fast-paced environment

- Guiding guests through Palermo’s food and wine offering, confidently making recommendations and identifying opportunities to upsell

- Working across floor and bar operations as required, using POS, EFTPOS and reservation systems while working closely with the wider team

What We’re Looking For

- At least 18 months’ hospitality or customer service experience, ideally within a premium restaurant, Italian, Argentinian or steakhouse-style environment

- Strong floor service skills, including three-plate carry, with previous bar experience, wine knowledge and demonstrated sales or upselling ability highly regarded

- A valid RSA, Year 12 or equivalent, and availability to work 30+ hours per week, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
