Technical Sales Engineer | Tuscany, Italy | €70,000–€90,000

I’m working with an established international engineering business looking to add a Technical Sales Engineer to its team in Tuscany.

This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys the commercial and customer-facing side of engineering and wants to develop their career in technical sales.

You’ll work closely with customers and the wider sales team to understand project requirements, identify the right technical solution and turn opportunities into successful proposals.

The role:

- Supporting customers and sales teams with technical solutions
- Understanding project requirements and assessing feasibility
- Preparing quotations, cost estimates and commercial proposals
- Supporting pre-sales and bid activity from initial enquiry through to submission
- Working across engineering, sales and other internal teams to develop solutions
- Participating in technical and commercial discussions with customers




- Ensuring proposed solutions meet customer specifications
- Managing multiple opportunities throughout the bidding and sales process

What we’re looking for:

- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical discipline
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent English
- Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in technical sales
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable operating across both technical and commercial environments
- Willingness to travel in Italy and internationally when required

This could be a strong fit for an Applications Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or Project Engineer looking for a more commercially focused position.
