An international organisation focused on cross-border investment & economic growth is seeking a Business Development Manager to develop its presence in the Italian market.

The role will focus on identifying Italian businesses with international expansion ambitions, building relationships with senior decision-makers & developing investment opportunities across sectors including technology, healthcare, engineering & chemicals.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will manage the business development process from initial outreach through to qualified opportunities, while building a strong network across Italy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop & execute the business development strategy for Italy.
- Identify & approach Italian companies with international expansion plans.
- Engage C-suite executives & senior decision-makers to understand their strategic objectives.
- Generate new opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, events & referrals.
- Build & maintain a strong network of corporate, professional & institutional contacts.
- Research sectors,



companies & market trends to identify new opportunities.
- Develop qualified leads and manage relationships throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
- Support senior leadership with client meetings, business trips & industry events.
- Work collaboratively with international teams to progress investment opportunities.

Requirements:

- 5 years' experience in business development, B2B sales, investment promotion, consulting or a related field.
- Proven track record of generating & developing new business.
- Experience engaging senior executives and building high-level relationships.
- Strong commercial, research & analytical skills.
- Excellent Italian & English communication skills.
- Confident, proactive & commercially minded with strong networking abilities.
- Highly organised, adaptable & comfortable working independently.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Milan-based with regular travel throughout Italy.
