Associate Director / Director, Tax Insurance (Italy)

EUR 100,000 to EUR 160,000 base + discretionary bonus + executive (dirigenti) package A leading European tax and contingent risk insurance platform is launching its Italian business. It needs a senior Italian tax professional to build the franchise from scratch.

The role

- Own the Italian market strategy and originate tax insurance deals from PE houses, infrastructure investors, corporates and financial institutions
- Build relationships with top Italian law firms, Big Four, boutique tax advisers and transaction advisers
- Advise clients on structuring, run underwriting from engagement to placement, and coordinate insurers, brokers and advisers
- Work on cross-border deals with teams in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Belgium and Poland
- Shape new products,

What you bring

- Significant Italian tax experience (advisory, transaction tax or tax controversy) from a leading law firm, Big Four, investment bank, insurance broker or specialist advisory practice
- Strong grasp of Italian corporate tax and deal-related issues across M&A;, restructurings and financings
- A real appetite for business development, with the network and commercial instinct to originate
- Law, economics or accounting qualification (CTA, chartered accountant or attorney helpful, not essential)
- Fluent Italian and English; further European languages a premio
