Investment Banking – M&A; Senior Analyst
Azimut Corporate Finance SpA - Milano
Your Role
As an M&A; Senior Analyst, you will play an active role in executing transactions and strategic advisory assignments, working directly alongside senior bankers and taking ownership of individual workstreams.
You will contribute across the full lifecycle of M&A; processes, from initial client discussions and strategic analysis through execution and closing, with increasing responsibility for financial analysis, transaction materials and coordination of junior colleagues.
You will be expected to combine strong technical skills with sound judgement, attention to detail and a proactive,
team-oriented approach.
Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Executing live M&A; and strategic advisory assignments, taking responsibility for defined workstreams
- Performing company and industry research to identify strategic opportunities, potential targets and prospective buyers
- Preparing and reviewing pitchbooks, teasers, information memoranda, management presentations and other client materials
- Building and reviewing financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions and LBO models
- Analysing historical and projected financial performance, assessing key assumptions and presenting conclusions
- Coordinating due diligence and transaction workstreams with clients, internal teams and external advisors
- Maintaining direct contact with clients, investors and other transaction stakeholders
- Supporting senior bankers in business development and strategic discussions with clients
- Guiding junior colleagues and reviewing their analysis and deliverables, commensurate with experience
Required Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for motivated candidates who combine strong execution capabilities with intellectual curiosity and a commitment to developing their careers in investment banking.
Required qualifications
- 1,5–2 years of experience in investment banking or M&A; advisory, with hands-on involvement in transaction execution
- Strong academic track record
- Solid understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles and valuation methodologies
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills, including DCF and LBO modelling
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and spoken English and fluency in Italian
- Ability to interpret financial information critically and produce accurate, client-ready materials

Employment Details
- Contract Type: Permanent contract (CCNL Commercio).
- Salary Range: €35,000 – €40,000 Gross Annual Salary (RAL)
