Design, machining, assembly, controls, and runoff all happen under one roof, so you watch your work go from a blank program to a machine making parts in a customer's plant.We started in 2014 and we are building this company to stay privately held. We do not cut corners to hit a quarter. We build machines we are proud to put our name on, and we keep clients for years because the machine runs.This work is humbling. Custom machines fight back. We give you a clear objective, the tools to hit it, and room to work.WHAT THE JOB ISYou own all robot and PLC code on the machines we build. You program the robot, write the PLC program, bring the machine to life on our floor, prove it out in front of the customer, and install it in their plant.DAY TO DAYProgram FANUC robots on the teach pendantWrite and debug PLC programs, primarily in Siemens TIA PortalWork with mechanical and electrical engineers during design so the machine is built to be controlled wellWork with our software engineer, who owns HMI and machine data. You own the robot and PLC side of that handoffPower up, debug,
and run off machines on our shop floorTest and validate safety systemsLead factory acceptance tests with the customerInstall and commission machines at customer sites and train their operatorsLead controls on a project and run small projects end to endWrite and hold our controls standardsTrain other robot programmers as the team growsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR5+ years programming robots and PLCs on custom machines or automated systemsHands-on FANUC robot programming experienceSiemens PLC experience preferred. Allen-Bradley experience is also a fit, since we build on bothYou have commissioned machines at a customer site and stayed until they ranAble to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot with a meterDegree in electrical, robotics, mechatronics, mechanical, or computer engineering, or equivalent hands-on experienceTravel of 10% to 30% depending on the year.WHAT HELPS YOU STAND OUTExperience with Siemens and Allen-BradleyFANUC certifications, or options such as iRVisionSafety PLCs and safety system validationServo and motion controlMachine visionExperience at an integrator or machine builderWHO YOU AREAn optimist.
