pbSenior Digital IC Designer /b /p pbSenior Digital IC Designer /b bLocation: /b Milan, Italy – NXP Semiconductors NXP Semiconductors is seeking a bSenior Digital IC Designer /b to contribute to the development of advanced mixed-signal integrated circuits for automotive and industrial electrification applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, implementation, and integration of digital subsystems, working closely with architects, verification engineers, and multidisciplinary development teams /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Digital Design and Implementation /h3 ul liDevelop RTL designs for complex digital blocks and subsystems using SystemVerilog/Verilog. /li liContribute to digital architecture definition together with senior designers and system architects. /li liAnalyze design trade-offs related to performance, power consumption, area, safety, and testability. /li liImplement robust clocking, reset, and power management strategies. /li liSupport IP integration and subsystem-level development. /li /ul h3Design Quality and Verification Support /h3 ul liPerform RTL verification activities, including simulation, lint, CDC, and synthesis checks. /li liCollaborate closely with digital verification engineers to ensure specification coverage and design quality. /li liSupport timing closure and implementation activities. /li liParticipate in design reviews and contribute to sign-off readiness. /li liSupport silicon bring-up, debugging, characterization, and root-cause analysis. /li /ul h3Mixed-Signal and Product Development Collaboration /h3 ul liWork effectively within mixed-signal project teams including analog designers, verification engineers, system architects,
and application engineers. /li liContribute to requirements definition and technical feasibility analysis. /li liSupport multiple development phases from concept through production release. /li liPromote reuse of digital IPs and design methodologies. /li /ul h3Functional Safety and Quality /h3 ul liContribute to the implementation of safety mechanisms in compliance with automotive standards. /li liSupport functional safety analysis and reviews. /li liFollow established development processes and quality standards for automotive and industrial products. /li /ul h3Team Contribution /h3 ul liProvide technical support and guidance to less experienced engineers. /li liShare knowledge, methodologies, and best practices within the team. /li liCollaborate effectively across international RD sites. /li /ul h3Required Skills /h3 ul liMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent. /li liMinimum 7 years of experience in digital IC design. /li liStrong experience in RTL development using SystemVerilog/Verilog. /li liExperience with synthesis, timing constraints, and digital implementation flows. /li liUnderstanding of CDC, reset strategies, and low-power design concepts. /li liFamiliarity with DFT fundamentals and design-for-test methodologies.
/li liExperience working in mixed-signal IC development environments. /li liKnowledge of digital verification methodologies and simulation-based verification. /li liExperience with industry-standard EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens EDA). /li liFluent written and spoken English. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience in automotive or industrial semiconductor products. /li liFamiliarity with automotive functional safety concepts (ISO 26262). /li liExperience with electrification applications such as Battery Management Systems (BMS), High Voltage Gate Drivers, or Power Management ICs. /li liKnowledge of digital signal processing techniques. /li liExperience supporting first silicon bring-up and product qualification activities. /li liExperience working within geographically distributed development teams. /li /ul pNXP is committed to equal pay for equal work and work of equal value and applies fair, consistent and transparent remuneration practices. /p pAs of the date of this posting, the estimated gross annual base salary range for this position in Italy is between 50,600 € and 69,600 € annually. This range is intended as a guideline. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, and specific business or organizational needs. This position falls under the applicable National Collective Labour Agreement (Metalmeccanica Industria).
