Tempa Rossa is an onshore project with complex industrial processes for producing various products with stringent specifications (crude oil, LPG, commercial gas and liquid sulfur) situated in a remote, mountainous and sensitive area of Basilicata Province in Southern Italy, with poor industrial infrastructures. The Italian legal context is particularly constraining due to complicate laws, heavy and lengthy Call For Tender processes, and not easy contract administration.

Activities

The Job holder carries out the activities according to the existing laws, the Modello 231 adopted by Company and doesn’t infringe the provisions therein stated. The Job holder respects the Compliance, Code of Conduct, Ethic Chart, HSE Chart, and Italian legislation like but not limited to Fire prevention compliance (VVF) under DPR 151/2011, DM 13/10/1994 and subsequent updates, SEVESO III DIRECTIVE and all procedures and rules of Affiliate and Group, promoting their diffusion and correct application at working site.

- Define the HSE requirement for lifting activities;

- Promote HSE Culture in order to prevent and reduce lifting incidents;

- Review Lifting HSE statistics for affiliate on quarterly basis and report to OT/TL/OPS/LSO;

- Perform the Lifting High Potential Incidents analysis and ensure action plans are implemented;





- Participate in Lifting Accident and Incident investigations as required (Origin, cause tree analysis, corrective action deployment);

- Implementation of Lifting KPI system in affiliate;

- Provide technical assistance to all Affiliate métiers (Drilling and Workover, Production, Logistics, Construction, Maintenance and Inspection) for the lifting operations, personnel and equipment;

- Provide technical support during procurement or hire of Affiliate lifting equipment or lifting service providers;

- Review and approve Critical Lifting Plans and attend the lift when required or ensure suitable delegation for supervision;

- Submit the lifting plan for lifting operations (LEVEL1) to OT/TL/TEC/SMA/OFS and OT/TL/OPS/LSO for review;

- Provide lifting expertise advice to all RSES/RSES-D and project Managers, organize and carry out lifting reviews and audits for each Affiliate sites and/or contractors on yearly basis;

- Perform condition checks and fitness for purpose on lifting appliances/accessories, CCUs and evaluate their utilization on site;

- Participate in all external lifting audits performed by OT/TL/OPS/LSO in his/her Affiliate;

- Responsible for maintenance and development of methodology, rules and instructions for lifting and handling operations;

- Issue and maintain the Affiliate Lifting Management System documents;

- Develop technical documents and procedures as per affiliate needs;

- Participate in the process of lifting derogations requested by affiliates for deviation of Company Requirements;

- Define the competencies required to SLS and advice to RSES/RSES-D;

- Assess personnel competencies to carry out lifting operations within Affiliate perimeter;

- Define the lifting personnel training program if required;

- Participate in all CFT (Call for Tender) dealing with lifting activities;

- Develop and maintain a E&P; lifting specialists’ network as a team member for regular communication with all entities APLOs, SLSs, OT/TL/TEC/SMA/OFS and OT/TL/OPS/LSO;

- Develop proper communication channels and define a clear Competence Management Plan for Affiliate Lifting Personnel;

- Review and advise Affiliate sites on Lifting Organization & Lifting Management System;





- Responsible for the communication of routine lifting activities or specific lifting-related campaigns within Affiliate;

- Define common practices/tools and create a safe and efficient lifting culture within the Affiliate.

-Act as the Affiliate Lifting Technical Authority, serving as the primary point of contact and technical advisor for all lifting-related matters across the organization;

-Review and approve all lifting plans, including both critical and non-critical lifting operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and safe execution;

-Monitor and report lifting performance, providing monthly KPI reports and recommendations to management to support continuous improvement;

-Facilitate lifting assurance and audit activities, including planning internal lifting audits, and managing interactions with auditors and site management;

-Promote operational excellence and innovation, identifying opportunities to improve lifting practices, safety performance, and overall affiliate effectiveness.

Candidate Profile

- Formal Education: Degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline. - Industry-recognized lifting certifications such as LEEA, EAL, OPITO, CPA, or equivalent. - Certified Competent Assessor (9DI). - Qualified Lifting Equipment Inspector for a wide range of equipment, including cranes, containers and CCUs, forklifts, winches, hoists, overhead travelling cranes, runway beams, and swing jibs. - Minimum 10 years of experience in lifting operations within the Oil & Gas industry, including onshore and offshore environments. - Proven experience in progressively responsible roles such as Rigger, Rigging Supervisor, Lifting Supervisor, Lifting Superintendent, or Site Lifting Specialist. - Good command of spoken and written English. - Strong leadership. - Ability to manage and work under pressure and and managing demanding workloads and schedules.
