pWe’re looking for an bAssistant Vice President, Reinsurance Actuary /b /ppBased in Bermuda and reporting to the Head of Pricing, Bermuda, you will work alongside our risk analysts to build out our data-driven underwriting strategy. Applying your experience in pricing, reserving and capital modelling will be crucial to augment the actuarial processes used by our risk and underwriting teams. /ppHamilton Re is our Bermuda insurer underwriting property, casualty and specialty insurance and reinsurance on a global basis. /ph3What you will do /h3ulliMaintain and improve reinsurance pricing models to ensure consistency in design, parameter benchmarking, rate-adequacy monitoring and automation of data capture. /liliAssist with pricing reinsurance contracts across Casualty, Specialty and Property classes. /liliCollaborate closely with underwriting teams across the company. /liliConduct profitability studies and reporting on various segments of the portfolio /liliSupport other pricing and reserving projects across the company. /li /ulh3What you require for the role /h3ulliProfessional actuarial designation (FCAS or equivalent) /liliAt least 5 years’ experience in a pricing role in the reinsurance or insurance industry /liliExperience with Reinsurance contract pricing, including pricing excess of loss and proportional contracts as well as evaluating with common contract features /liliAbility to effectively communicate analytical findings /liliExperience with programming in VBA, Python, SQL, and R preferred /liliExperience with Tyche pricing platform preferred /liliFamiliarity with Catastrophe and Risk aggregation models /liliAbility to work both independently and collaboratively /liliOpen,
