Overview As an Account Executive at Kong, you will drive new business for the Konnect Platform in mid-market enterprise accounts. You’ll be a face of Kong to prospects, collaborating with pre- and post-sales teams to win new customers in a high-growth market. You’ll work to meet quota, manage your book of business, and articulate Kong’s value across open source and API/infrastructure contexts. This is a fast-paced role with uncapped earning potential and meaningful impact on company growth.

Sell Kong Konnect Platform within Commercial sales to target accounts Meet and/or exceed quota, objectives and KPIs Own and manage your book of business, including buying criteria and deal motion Drive pipeline and closure with evidence-based forecasting Collaborate with pre-sales, post-sales, channel partners, customer success,



and leadership to win new business

Requisiti fondamentali

Direct enterprise software sales experience to small- to mid-size organizations, ideally with open source, APIs, and/or infrastructure software Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Experience with fast-growing startups is a plus Strong background in territory planning and outbound pipeline generation Measurable track record of new business development and over-achieving sales targets Knowledge of MEDDIC and Challenger methodologies is a plus Fluent in English; Italian and/or Spanish and/or French is a plus strong interpersonal skills ambition and results-driven collaborative and team-oriented open source experience APIs and infrastructure software familiarity territory planning and pipeline management
