Pre-sales Electrical Engineer - Power

Role purpose: The Pre-Sales Electrical Engineer provides the electrical design capability within pre-sales engineering: the calculations, schematics and compliance work that sit behind an integrated power solution during the proposal phase.

Role scope: Electrical design within the pre-sales engineering team, supporting integrated solutions and engineered proposals. Works alongside the Pre-Sales Engineer, who owns the system-level design, and the Senior CAD Engineer, who produces layouts and drawings.

Key accountabilities:

• Produce electrical schematics,



single-line diagrams and supporting documentation for proposals.

• Perform network calculations, sizing, protection coordination, arc-flash assessment and withstand rating verification across LV and MV distribution.

• Interpret and apply the relevant codes and standards for the target market.

• Support the definition of integrated solutions alongside mechanical, control and EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring System) colleagues.

• Check designs for compliance with customer specifications, and document deviations clearly.

• Coordinate with factory engineering and suppliers on component selection and feasibility.

• Maintain the accuracy and traceability of design documentation through the proposal phase.

• Contribute standard schematics and reusable blocks to the engineering library.
