Madrigal Pharmaceuticals seeks a Head of Market Access for Italy to lead national reimbursement and access strategy for innovative MASH therapies. This strategic leadership role encompasses AIFA negotiations, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with global access objectives to ensure patient access across the Italian healthcare system.
Responsibilities
Lead market access and pricing strategy execution for Italy with primary accountability for Rezdiffra national reimbursement
Direct AIFA pricing and reimbursement process including dossier development, authority interactions, and negotiations
Develop and execute strategies navigating cost-containment pressures and MFN considerations to achieve value-reflective reimbursement
Lead stakeholder engagement with AIFA, payers, clinicians, KOLs, and patient organizations to build awareness and urgency




Build and lead the Italian Market Access team while serving as Country Leadership Team member contributing to launch readiness and brand strategy
Requirements
University degree in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Public Health, or related discipline
8+ years market access, pricing, reimbursement, or HEOR experience in Italian pharma or biotech
Proven track record navigating AIFA pricing and reimbursement processes with direct negotiation experience
Deep knowledge of Italian healthcare system, payer dynamics, HTA mechanisms, and early access options
Demonstrated strategic ability addressing complex pricing and reimbursement challenges
Strong cross-functional leadership in international, matrixed environments
Fluency in Italian and English; willingness to travel within Italy and internationally
