Job SummaryInterprets and implements prescription and treatment plan as directed by the Radiation Oncologist; Performs operation of the therapeutic equipment, proper patient positioning, monitoring of the patient during the procedure and related clerical duties; performs daily equipment warm?up and quality assurance procedures; Evaluatesand assesses treatment machine operations; Recognizes machine malfunctions and reports them to the Chief Therapist and Medical Physicist; Ability to perform procedures regarding quality assurance, emergency shutdown and guidelines that pertain to the operation manuals for equipment; Monitors patients' clinical progress and refers patients to medical or nursing staff for appropriate intervention; Communicates clearly and concisely with all members of the health care team, patients, and families; Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrates a clear understanding of quality improvement,



patient satisfaction and a Patient First philosophy.Minimum QualificationsAssociate degree in Radiation Therapy or completion of an American Medical Association approved certificate program; New York State licensure and RTT (Radiation Therapist Technologist) or eligibility required.
