The Agile Tester is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and executing automated and manual tests within a Scrum team. Working closely with developers, Product Owners, and Product Specialists, they ensure software quality throughout each sprint. They promote effective testing practices, support continuous improvement, and contribute to test automation within Agile and DevOps CI/CD processes.





Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Specialists, and developers to analyze user stories, define acceptance criteria, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Design, implement, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for web applications, including functional and regression testing.
- Develop and maintain API tests to validate service contracts, business logic, authentication, request/response structures, and system integrations.
- Perform database testing and data validation to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across application layers.
- Create and manage realistic mock datasets and test environments to support functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and maintain automated regression and system integration tests, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to performance, load, and non-functional testing activities to ensure application reliability and scalability.
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, promote testing best practices, share knowledge, and support continuous quality improvement within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing, preferably within web application development and enterprise environments.
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, with a solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD processes.
- Proven experience in manual testing, test case design, functional testing, regression testing, and test automation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar web automation frameworks.
- Experience in API testing using tools such as Bruno or Postman, including API validation and integration testing.
- Good knowledge of SQL, database testing, data validation, and test data management.




- Familiarity with performance and load testing methodologies; experience with Apache JMeter is considered a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders. Fluency in English is required.

The position will be classified within the Employee category, at one of the C2, C3, B1 or B2 levels under the Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria).

The classification level and any additional remuneration components supplementing the base salary will be determined based on an assessment, carried out during the selection process, of objective and neutral criteria such as, by way of example, the candidate’s professional experience, technical skills, level of autonomy and the responsibilities required by the role.
