About Marte

Marte is an AI-native operating company based in Milan. We redesign and deliver business workflows, systems and initiatives for our clients, or take responsibility for running an entire business function on their behalf. We are operators, not advisors: we take over critical work and own the result.

Our model combines senior operators with AI and automation. People set priorities, build systems, lead delivery and review every output. AI and automation handle the repeatable work. The result is a small senior team that delivers what used to take a large one, with quality checked at every step by people who know the domain.

We work in two formats: focused projects, which we take from definition through implementation and handoff, and ongoing engagements, where a dedicated Marte team runs a client function against agreed goals. In both, the method is the same: Map, Build, Run, Evolve. Understand the work, implement the changes, manage delivery, improve through performance data.

We serve clients across industries, with deep expertise in football, luxury and fashion, and media. Marte was founded by serial tech entrepreneurs and senior operators with global experience. Our promise is simple: we make innovation work.

The role The Project Owner is the person our projects revolve around. One project, one owner. You hold the context, the daily client relationship, the decisions and the accountability for what we deliver.

Key responsibilities

- Define and evolve the project context: goals, constraints, history, success criteria
- Plan the project and run all communication with the client and the internal team
- Set up the project data layer: the structured knowledge the whole project runs on
- Deploy and orchestrate our AI agents and workflows, which do the heavy production work




- Activate vertical experts to validate every output before it reaches the client
- Coordinate internal and client resources to deliver on time, at the quality we promise

You work alongside an experienced Partner who coaches you and backs you on judgment calls and client strategy. AI experts support you in learning and maximizing your use of the latest tools. But the production capacity of AI is yours to direct, and the responsibility for the outcome is yours to carry. This is not a project management job with AI added on. It is a new role, at the center of a new kind of firm. We will train you in how technology is changing the way work gets done; nobody arrives knowing it.

Requirements

- 4 to 8 years of experience, with no more than two employers, in top-tier strategy consulting or a comparable professional setting
- University graduate with an entrepreneurial mindset: you build rather than wait for instructions
- Quality-driven and accountable: you deliver what you promise, whatever it takes
- Technically fluent: excellent with PowerPoint and Excel, quick to master new AI tools
- Culturally sharp: you read a room, a brand and a client as well as you read a dataset
- Fluent in Italian and English
