TXM Recruit is partnering with a leading global automation and intralogistics business to recruit experienced IT Project Managers for their growing team in Graz, Austria.

This is an exciting opportunity for project management professionals with a strong understanding of software and IT systems to lead the successful delivery of complex automation projects for international customers. You will act as the key point of contact for all software-related topics, working closely with customers, internal software teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

The role is primarily office-based in Graz with occasional international travel to customer sites when required. All business travel expenses are fully covered.

Responsibilities

- Lead the successful implementation of software solutions from design and development through testing, deployment, and delivery.
- Act as the primary software contact for customers and internal project stakeholders.
- Work closely with customers, software engineers, and cross-functional teams to define project scope, gather requirements, and develop effective solutions.




- Manage project timelines, milestones, risks, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and communicate status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide support, guidance, and coordination across multiple project teams.
- Lead the software workstream and manage the project core team to ensure successful delivery.
- Ensure all software stakeholders meet their project commitments and responsibilities.

Required Experience and Skills

- Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in Project Management, implementation, or software delivery projects.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system integrations, and data structures.
- Familiarity with recognised project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English is essential.
- German language skills are advantageous but not required.
- Valid Category B driving licence.
- EU citizenship or unrestricted right to work within the EU.

Ideal Background

- Project Management experience within automation, software, technology, logistics, manufacturing, engineering, or other technical industries.
- Strong IT awareness and the ability to understand software-related concepts and customer requirements.
- Experience working in customer-facing project environments.
