The assistant store manager plays a vital role in supporting the effective and efficient operation of an ALDI store. Reporting directly to the store manager, the assistant store manager oversees store operations to drive sales growth, control expenses, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong commitment to developing store personnel by fostering a positive and collaborative environment, upholding ALDI’s values, and adhering to established company policies and procedures. The assistant store manager is a key leader who actively contributes to the success and sustainability of the store through effective team management, operational excellence, and a customer-focused approach.

Position Type: Full-Time

Average Hours: 38 hours per week

Starting Wage: $27.00 per hour

Wage Increase: Year 2 - $28.00 per hour

Duties And Responsibilities

- Oversees the appropriate resolution of employee and customer concerns, aligning with the store manager, as needed.




- Communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to store personnel in conjunction with the store manager to ensure desired results; leads and develops store personnel.
- Assists the store manager with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results and personnel development.
- Leads store tours during interview events and provides hiring recommendations to the store manager.
- Informs the store manager of team developments and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Communicates, cooperates, and interacts effectively with all levels of ALDI employees, customers, third‑party vendors and business partners.
- Leads, develops, and supervises the team to develop sales, engage our teams, satisfy our customers and achieve consistent high performance .
