The Role
We are recruiting a

Global Commodity Manager

to support and develop

direct material commodity strategies

for a global manufacturing business operating across multiple production sites.

This is a

strategic procurement role

within a complex, matrix organisation. You will be involved in developing and executing commodity strategies, managing supplier relationships, and delivering improvements across cost, performance and supply continuity.

The specific commodity or sector background is

not critical . What is important is experience within

direct procurement in a manufacturing environment , strong commercial capability, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions and locations.

This could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced

Buyer, Commodity Manager or Category Manager





looking to take the next step into a broader global procurement role.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development and execution of

global commodity strategies

for direct materials and production-related components

Lead

end-to-end sourcing activities , including market analysis, RFx, negotiation, contracting and supplier performance management

Develop and manage relationships with

strategic and key suppliers , ensuring quality, cost competitiveness and continuity of supply

Drive

cost reduction and value creation initiatives

using benchmarking, market analysis and total cost of ownership approaches

Partner closely with

Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain

teams on demand planning, design changes and product lifecycle management

Support supplier consolidation, dual-sourcing and supply chain risk mitigation strategies

Develop and manage

supplier agreements, preferred supplier
