Operations & Manufacturing Internship

Do you want to get your hands dirty on a real shop floor and see how a manufacturing company really works?

TNP Italia is looking for a motivated, curious intern to join our Supply Chain & Operations team for a 6-month curricular internship . You will work on a time and cost analysis project for a leading manufacturing company, spending most of your time on-site at the client’s production plants in Northern Italy.

Founded in 2020, we are part of TNP Consultants, an independent international consulting firm founded in 2007 and operating in more than 10 countries, including France, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, India, Morocco and the United States.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be part of the project team and play a key role in collecting and analyzing data directly on the production lines:

- Carrying out time studies and work sampling on manufacturing operations
- Mapping production processes and identifying value-added and non-value-added activities
- Building and maintaining the time and cost database, and checking data quality
- Supporting the calculation of standard times and product cost models
- Analyzing results to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
- Preparing analyses and presentations for project meetings and steering committees




- Working closely with plant managers, production supervisors and operators

WHO YOU ARE

- Student (Master’s degree) in Industrial or Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other quantitative disciplines available for curricular intership
- Genuine interest in manufacturing, operations and lean / process improvement
- Comfortable spending time on the shop floor and interacting with people at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI or similar tools is a plus
- Familiarity with time and methods analysis, lean manufacturing or cost accounting is a plus
- Proactive, organized and able to work with a good level of autonomy
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Driving license and availability to travel to the client’s sites
